Klaas ("we", "our", or "us") is a platform for online communities and courses, operated by Klaas, a DBA of CLAYDEX Consulting Partners LLC, registered at 2719 Hollywood Boulevard, L-444, Hollywood, Florida 33020, USA. We are the data controller for the information described here. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and delete information when you use our website and mobile app.
Account information you provide: your name and email address. Profile information you choose to add (such as a bio, avatar, and the fields a community asks for). Content you create: posts, comments, replies, messages, event RSVPs, and course progress. We also collect basic usage data needed to run the service (for example, which communities you belong to and when you were last active).
We use your information to provide and improve the service, to show the content you create to the communities you join, to authenticate you and keep your account secure, to process payments for paid memberships and courses, and to communicate with you about your account.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that operate our infrastructure, and only to the extent needed to run the service: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage hosting), Vercel (application hosting), and Stripe (payment processing — your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers). Content you post is shown to the members of the communities you join — that is the purpose of the service and happens only at your direction.
Beyond that, we disclose personal data only if required by law (for example, a valid legal request) or as part of a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case this policy continues to apply.
Paid memberships and courses are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe handles card data under its own PCI-compliant terms.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, or ask us to delete it, your personal data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where a longer retention period is required by law (for example, billing records). We use industry-standard encryption and security practices. Access to your data is scoped to you and the communities you belong to, enforced at the database level. We do not store your password in plain text.
